Meet Your Designer
Lauren Wright
I’m Lauren; the friendly face behind Molly and Mama, the author of ‘Pretty Handmades’, a designer of whimsical sewing patterns, a mother, a maker and a lover of pretty things! I’ll inspire you with beautiful sewing patterns and courses for projects made with embroidery, patchwork, English paper piecing, appliqué and felt sewing.
You may have seen me on the Riley Blake Designs Blog, in Homespun magazine, Make Modern magazine, as a contributor to the books '50 Fat Quarter Toys' and 'Sewing Simple Softies', or at Australian quilting events and classes.
I love teaching traditional sewing techniques in fresh and modern ways to bring the joy of delicate and dainty stitching to beginners everywhere!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How will I receive my patterns?
As soon as you join the club, you’ll have full access to your bonus pattern and printables, videos and more. You’ll receive an email to let you know that you can log in, download the sewing patterns to your computer, and get stitching right away. Then on the 15th of every month, you'll receive another email to let you know that month's project is ready for you. You can also log in to the platform to access the content whenever you like. You'll have access for all of 2023 and into the new year.
Is the content the same as the 2022 Pretty Stitches Club?
Yes! Due to popular demand, we're bringing the 2022 Club back this year, with the same patterns and content. We didn't want new friends to miss out on all the fun we had last year!
Is the club live? What if I miss something?
We're all busy, right? The Pretty Stitches Club makes it easy by releasing a new pattern and support materials on the 15th of the month. There's no live lessons, so you won't miss all the great value the club provides. Simply log in, read the materials and download the files in your own time.
I am a beginner. Is this club right for me?
This club does assume knowledge of basic sewing machine use, simple piecing like sewing fabric strips together, and using tools like a rotary cutter and mat. All the instructions use jargon-free terms ideal for beginners. The club's aim is to teach beginners new skills, and inspire confident makers to explore and expand their exisiting skills. And if you have questions, you're encouraged to ask in the community, the optional facebook group, or via email.
Do I need to be great with computers?
We want to be sewing, not working out complicated computer stuff! If you can click a link, log into an account with a username and password, and save a PDF file to your computer, you won’t need any extra technology skills. We’re also here to help you along the way if you encounter any difficulties.
Do I have to sew each pattern in order?
This club is all about making time to sew, being inspired to try new things and share your progress with like-minded friends. Whilst you might like to sew every project in order, there's absolutely no obligation to do so.
I'm short on time. Do I have to finish everything?
No! This club is all about finding time to sew, learn, and get creative in your own time. If you don't get to make everything you'd like to, you'll still have created an amazing pattern library for future projects that you can access any time.
Do I have lifetime access?
The beauty of this course is that the sewing patterns and printables are downloadable, so are yours to keep! You'll also have access to the other club content for all of 2023 and for as long as the course platform exists.
Do I need to use Facebook or other social media platforms?
Our club has its very own private and dedicated community just for members. You can share photos, ask questions, give support and look for real-time help. If you'd like to, you can also join the optional Facebook group and share your images on social media.
